Richard Ong is Group Head, Group Risk & Compliance at Sime Darby Berhad. He is a certified accountant with 20 years of experience in governance, risk and control. He joined Sime Darby Berhad in 2018 as the Head of Risk and is responsible for implementing appropriate systems, programme and initiatives to manage the Group’s overall risk exposures. He also leads and manages Sime Darby’s compliance programme including anti-bribery and anti-corruption, whistleblowing, data privacy, policy governance, procurement governance and climate risk reporting.
