Philip Rao is a Consulting Partner with EY Malaysia, bringing 38 years of experience in risk, governance, and financial leadership. He has led enterprise risk management (ERM), internal audit, and corporate governance engagements across sectors including energy, capital markets, and infrastructure. His advises large organizations on control frameworks, strengthening risk oversight, and embedding sustainable governance. One notable experience includes a secondment to one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, delivering internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404, and risk advisory services across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Russia. He was also seconded to act in the capacity of Head of Finance for Malaysia’s national railway, contributing to strategic and operational management decisions. A former President of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia, he also serves as Program Director of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) program in Malaysia, one of the world’s most prestigious awards for entrepreneurs.
