Norhayati Yakap is a Senior Executive Director in Assurance at Ernst & Young PLT, specializing in Financial Services. With nearly 20 years of experience, she advises and audits leading financial institutions across the banking, capital markets and Islamic finance sectors. She leads assurance engagements for major financial institutions, including Islamic banks, development financial institutions and Malaysia’s largest banking group. Her expertise covers statutory audits, risk management, technical accounting and advisory services. Recognised as a subject matter resource in Islamic banking, Norhayati provides technical accounting guidance on new Islamic finance products and supports regulatory initiatives contributing to the development of Malaysia’s Islamic finance Industry. She holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Universiti Teknologi MARA and is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
