Sharizul is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of CPA Australia with extensive experience spanning enterprise risk management, risk advisory, corporate restructuring, transaction advisory, and corporate finance advisory. In his previous role, he led the institutionalisation of enterprise risk management across a large listed group, providing strategic oversight and board-level advisory on risk–return optimisation to support the Group’s business objectives. He was responsible for strengthening risk capabilities and embedding robust, sustainable risk management practices across the organisation.

He has held senior leadership roles in risk management and advisory across a Big Four accounting firm, a supermajor oil and gas company, and multiple multinational organisations. In recognition of his contributions to advancing risk management through innovation, senior leadership integration, and risk culture transformation, he was awarded the Corporate Risk Leadership Award at the MARIM Malaysia International Conference 2024. His work is now recognised as a benchmark for the risk management profession in Malaysia.
