Nur Azmalaila Bt A Mutalib is a Senior Manager in Education & HR Sustainability at PETRONAS, where she leads enterprise-wide efforts to integrate Human Rights, Diversity & Inclusion, and future workforce strategies into the organisation’s people agenda. With a career spanning 28 years in multiple roles and disciplines within PETRONAS, she brings a deep understanding of the organisation’s workforce ecosystem—combining experience across strategy, planning and business development, international business operations, organisation development & design and strategic transformation. This breadth of experience enables her to translate complex inclusion and human rights priorities into practical, scalable solutions that are aligned with business realities.

Today, she plays a key role in shaping PETRONAS’ approach to embedding inclusion into its operating model—driving initiatives such as employee Human Rights governance (Project 360), enhancing inclusive leadership capability and neurodiversity inclusion. Her work focuses on moving beyond programmes to system-wide embedment, ensuring fairness, dignity and inclusion are reflected in how decisions are made across the employee lifecycle. She is particularly passionate about advancing inclusion as a measurable business outcome—strengthening leadership accountability, enhancing workforce trust and supporting PETRONAS’ transformation journey towards a more future-ready and inclusive organisation.
