Bhuvanes is the Chief People Officer of Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM), where she leads the development and execution of the Corporation’s human capital strategy and spearheads people initiatives that support organisational capability building and the Corporation’s transformative people initiatives. She brings more than 20 years of human resources leadership experience across diverse industries, including property development and investment, retail and shopping malls, hospitality and leisure, and biotechnology. Her career includes senior leadership roles with organisations such as IOI Properties Group Berhad, Sunway International Hotels & Resorts Group, Sunway Property, Sunway REIT Management, and Novozymes among others.

Bhuvanes began her professional journey as a chemist in the oleochemical sector and later with an Australian environmental laboratory, before transitioning into human resources. This experience has shaped her analytical approach, strong business acumen, and practical understanding of organisational needs. She has worked extensively across all levels of the organisation, building trust and effective partnerships, and has led efforts to evolve traditional HR functions into strategic business partners and enablers. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Putra Business School, Universiti Putra Malaysia, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Universiti Malaya.
