Simon Benjamin is the President of the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM). He is known for his commitment to promoting a humanized approach to workplace management, especially in the context of hybrid work models.

Simon, with a career spanning three decades, is a seasoned Human Resources Practitioner with extensive involvement in people management. His wealth of experience lies particularly in Industrial relations and Employee relations, where he has served in various sectors including manufacturing, banking, services, and prominent conglomerates such as Sunway Group and Ann Joo Resources Berhad.

Certified by MIHRM as a Human Resources Practitioner, Simon is a firm believer in continuous learning. Currently, he is dedicated to advancing his knowledge in employment and industrial law by pursuing a Master’s in HR Law at University Utara Malaysia.

Simon’s commitment extends beyond academia. He has actively participated as a panel member for employers in the Industrial Court, contributing to the resolution of cases involving trade disputes, non-compliances, collective agreements, and recognition of trade unions. Additionally, he has served as a member of the Investigating Tribunal Panel Pursuant to the Legal Professional Act 1967 (Bar Council).
