Li Wei is the Chief Financial Officer of Terberg Tractors Malaysia, a joint venture between Sime Darby Industrial and the Netherlands-based Royal Terberg Group BV. She brings over 25 years of diversified experience across industries including manufacturing, oil and gas, construction, telecommunications, healthcare, and education. Her expertise covers a wide range of financial functions such as financial analysis and reporting, auditing, strategic planning, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and developing robust financial strategies aligned with organisational goals. She has also spearheaded numerous business transformation initiatives, driving process improvements and enhancing operational efficiency. Li Wei began her career at KPMG in 1999 before moving to Muhibbah Engineering and later to Tractors Malaysia (Sime Darby Industrial), where she played a key role in formulating MFRS-compliant accounting policies, strengthening internal controls and risk management, and overseeing the implementation of GST. She then served as General Manager, Group Accounts and Tax at UMW, where she managed group-wide financial reporting and tax matters. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Li Wei is also a Chartered Accountant registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), and currently serves on the Tax Council Committee of MICPA.
